Discovery Bay is closer than many think, and with a very regular ferry and bus service Discovery Bay is easier and quicker to get to than most of Hong Kong. High speed ferries take 23 mins from Central and are fully air-conditioned.
The ferries leave from Central Pier 3 and cost $27 each way. (Look out for regular ferry promotions offering free ferry tickets!) At the moment anyone spending $100+ can get a free ferry ticket back to HK after 7pm, and after 2pm on weekends. Just show your bill from Hemingway's at the Customer Service booth near the ferry terminal and get a free ticket!!
Once off the ferry, head to the beach..... we are the restaurant closest to it!!
